The film follows the ups and downs of the love-story between Kumail, a struggling Pakistani stand-up comedian who works as a cab-driver to meet ends meet, and Emily, a white student. While Kumail and Emily are dating, Kumail’s traditional and conservative Pakistani parents want him to have an arranged marriage and suggest to him, Pakistani women. Fearing disownment, Kumail keeps his relationship a secret from his parents. When Emily learns about this, she breaks up with Kumail. However, things take an entirely different turn when Emily is hospitalized and is diagnosed with a serious but treatable illness. 

The film received a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and managed to make you laugh and sob simultaneously.

Paddington 2 (2018)

This movie is particularly significant because it has got a rating of 100% by Rotten Tomatoes. The live-action animated comedy film is based on the character of a bear called Paddington.  The film stars big actors like Hugh Grant in a pivotal role and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington, the bear. 

Paddington, the bear, lives with a brown family in Windsor Gardens. He often offers emotional support to his community’s people and is immensely loved and popular among them. On her 100th birthday, Paddington wants to present his aunt with a unique and special gift. He takes up several odd jobs and to earn money and saves his wages for the gift. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019)

The film has multiple engaging storylines; Rick Dalton is a veteran Hollywood actor. Once a big star, now he wanders around in Los Angeles to get work that will boost his career with Cliff Booth. In the film, 36 hours in the life of the popular band are portrayed. These hours have all the drama that is filled in the famous band’s lives and has become relatively routine to them. Booksmart (2019)

Booksmart is one of the best comedies available in the genre of American coming-of-age comedy films. It features Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein as two graduating high-school girls. The film got a good response at the box-office and received a positive critical response as well. The film has got a rating of 97% by Rotten Tomatoes. 

The film revolves around the lives of two high school graduating girls, Amy and Molly. Both have been quite educated and sincere all their school days and are considered pretentious by their peers. Billi is an aspiring Chinese-American writer who shares a close relationship with her paternal grandmother Nai Nai who lives in China. Through her parents, Billi discovers that Nai Nai is suffering from deadly terminal lung cancer and has only a few days left. However, Nai Nai is entirely unaware of this fact. The film tells how Billi struggles to arrange a family gathering before Nai Nai passes away. 

Eighth Grade (2018)
